These are my personal favorites from my collection. Some have been posted on this site and some have not. I love finding new ways of looking at things. There is so much beauty in this world, you just need to know where to find it.
The biggest challenge for creating this page was narrowing it down to only a handful of pictures that were my personal favorites. I have many more favorites throughout the site that I personally love. What is difficult is choosing the ones I enjoy the most.
What are your favorite pictures? What are some things you like?
When I visited the Texas State Capital in the tallest part of the building I stood in the middle of the room and looked up. This is one of my most favorite photos I’ve taken thus far.
When I was interning at Microsoft one summer on my lunch breaks I would go outside on the grounds and walk. There was one very sunny day where the lighting was bright and beautiful. I loved the way the light hit this flower and I just had to take it. For four months this was the background on my phone.
One cloudy day I was at Bradley Lake and I found this leaf in the water. I crouched down and took a picture thinking this would make a great photo. I didn’t realize that I also captured the reflection of the clouds until I got home later that evening. I love the way this one turned out!
During the Spring we get a large amount of rain when the tulips grow. After a rainfall I had gone outside to take some photos around the garden. I love the way the water pools in the tulip.
I forgot the name of this flower but it is very small. This photo was an accidental shot and I wasn’t able to see the screen all that well. You can’t really tell but the shot was taken with my phone up-side-down.
Despite the size of the flower, I love how I was able to make it look so much larger than it is. Each of these flowers were smaller than a dime before they are in full bloom.
This is the same flower as taken above. Different lighting can bring out more rich tones in pictures sometimes. This was the only one of the bunch that was standing straight up in the garden. This is also one of my most favorite shots.
This photo was also taken at Bradley Lake Park. It was cloudy out that day and when I looked up to take the picture it created silhouettes of the trees. This is one of the most neat photos I have taken.
it was a very cloudy day. This was taken the same day as the leaf in the water and the previous image with the tree silhouettes. Absolutely spectacular with as calm as the water was.
This is the bridge for the path that wraps around the lake. Like most modern parks, there is a paved path that wraps around the lake. It was a partly cloudy day in early November when I took this. I love the setting in this photo and the story it tells.
There are some bushes I found on the side of the road during autumn that had turned color. They looked beautiful so I pulled over one rainy Saturday and took some pics. This is one of the backgrounds I use for my texting apps.
Out shopping with my mom at McLendon’s and they had many of these in full bloom. There was some sunlight poking in through the slits in the roof out in the garden area. The lighting was perfect and this is one of the best shots I have ever taken. It is still currently the background on my phone.
My church every year has a candle light service. After the service I had asked if I could take pictures of the beautiful candles near the alter at the front of the church. I went up and took a couple of pics. This is my favorite one out of all the candle pics I have taken.
Growing up I played a lot of cards. Still to this day rummy is one of my favorite games to play. Most people don’t play board or card games any more leaving my sister as the only person I play with. We were playing one night during the summer and I snapped a couple of pics. This was one of them.
My husband and I were at Steamboat Island (a suburb of Olympia) and it was sunset. I grabbed my phone and took this shot. It’s amazing. I love the colors, stillness of the water, and the reflection.
Rocks revealed during low tide at sunset. This was taken at Holiday Beach near Newport, Oregon.
Low tide revealing rocks at Hug Point. One of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever been to.
My husband standing in the water at Hug Point, Oregon. One of my most favorite photos I’ve ever taken.
One of the best shots I’ve ever taken. The seagull was flying at the right time.
Surfers go to Pacific City to catch some waves. This was a beautiful summer day and an amazing shot.
After climbing to the top of the giant sand dune at Pacific City, someone put this rock tower up there for photos. It’s one of the best photos I’ve ever taken.
A celebration of autumn through photographs.
These photos were taken from a hike I took over the summer at Ohme Gardens in Wenatchee, Washington. It was a beautiful hike half in the shade, half in the sun. There were many trees and other shrubs native to Wenatchee forest. Most of the paths had stone stairs to get up and down the hills, a couple of ponds with koi in them, and some stone benches for a small break. It was truly a wonderful enjoyment of beauty.
Celebrate spring time with flowers.
Fall in love with summer with these photographs.
Lilies are my favorite flower and one of the most beautiful of the summer. There are two types of lilies shown here: day lilies and canna lilies. Please enjoy them as I do!
The flower that blooms spring through fall is one of many favorites. In many different shades and sizes, there are many roses here. I invite you to look through the beauty seen.
